I suffered a knee injury following a period of intense training two weeks before the Hyrox world championships where, at the age of 63, I was aiming to do back-to-back races. Jake was professional, friendly and extremely thorough in his examination. He diagnosed the problem, and gave me a clear plan that included stretches, icing and over the counter medication. Jake sent me a report, kept in touch and gave me the confidence that my injury would settle. The result being I became world champion with my partner in my second race. Jake’s background in high level sports injuries is perfectly aligned to fitness racing and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I came to see Jake after seeing a couple of physios for some issues I’d been having for a long time with my hamstring that weren’t improving and I was unable to run. Jake did a thorough assessment of my movement and hamstring and diagnosed the problem, giving me a full breakdown of why the injury may have happened. He explained to me the rehab process clearly and how it would progress over time which I appreciated as it meant I knew what stage I was at which helped with my patience. Within a few weeks I was back running and my hamstring strength has excelled.

After having a calf issue that had put a stop to me being able to run I was recommended to book in to see Jake.
After a thorough assessment of my calf and other areas that could have been affecting this Jake quickly identified what the issue was and then created a rehab programme for me to stick to. The programme was thorough and unique to me and what I required to strengthen my calf and mobilise other areas.
What I really found great is I could communicate with Jake daily/weekly on how the progress was going and this also held me accountable, Jake would also update the programme as I was progressing.
He had me back up and running within a couple of weeks and able to compete in a hyrox which I didn’t feel was going to be possible before seeing Jake.
